Dan Harder got into the lathing trade at 15, as a labourer. He fell in love with the craft the first time he saw a perfect wall go up — and never looked back.
In 1997 he founded IN-EX to do it the right way from the start: using building science instead of guesswork. The obsession with doing it right the first time — the attention to detail, the insistence on quality, the promise to only take on work the team can deliver exceptionally — has never changed.
The results speak quietly but clearly: over 1,000 projects across Manitoba, and clients who keep coming back. That's the direct result of applying building science properly, paying attention to every detail, and never cutting corners — even when no one is watching.

After 20 years maintaining commercial and military fighter jets and building rockets, James brought aerospace-grade precision to IN-EX's estimating desk over 12 years ago. Bid invites are reviewed within minutes, scope gaps are flagged as RFIs early, and every completed contract is analyzed against actuals — so IN-EX numbers are real numbers.

Darryl keeps multiple sites running at once with clear, direct communication to crews and GCs — consistent manpower, sites loaded with materials, and workmanship as the top priority. GC site supers notice the difference: an IN-EX crew shows respect.

Silas came up through the shop — fabricator, then supervisor, then the field — before moving to estimating in 2023. He takes pride in clean, precise takeoffs built on a real understanding of how envelope systems interact.
